Most motocross athletes dont know how to maximise their performance on the bike.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • It is no longer good enough to just be talented on the bike. With talent, speed and dangers increasing rapidly, the importance of strength & conditioning and physical preparation is becoming bigger.

  • Lack of food intake and not knowing the importance of performance nutrition and hydration are killing your recovery and results.

  • Following the guidance from your local PT, attending random HIIT sessions (e.g. F45), or just cycling all the km thinking it’s going to prepare you for the physical demands of our sport is not good enough.

  • Copying your favourite pro rider’s social media workouts won’t work for you. Some professional athletes can get away with doing very little, and it’s important you understand that they are the rare exceptions to the rule. It’s smarter to use the methods that produce the most wide-scale accomplishment instead of following the exceptions.

  • Choosing not to optimise your physical performance and bridge the gap to your peak performance will lead you to an immediate disadvantage over your competition and leave you more susceptible to a season-ending injury.
